World’s Smallest Casino Opens in a Black Cab
The smallest casino has been launched by Birmingham’s Grosvenor Casino, in the back of a black cab. The casino was opened last week and it is already attracting customers from all over London.
The taxi casino includes a gaming table, a dealer, a bar, televisions screening sports and internet gambling facilities.
The casino is currently offering a Play Your Way campaign to promote the new “mobile” casino and Grosvenor’s sportsbook. It will be touring major cities in the UK for three weeks, starting in London and then heading north to Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and ending in Glasgow. The rides will be free of charge if customers want to be taken to the Hill Street Casino or you can choose to be taken to any other location for a donation to the charity, Carers Trust.
You can simply hail down the cab when you see it or you can tweet the casino asking to be picked up. You must specify where you want to be taken. You can then wait for the casino to come to you.
“We’re thrilled to announce the launch of what we believe to be the world’s smallest travelling casino and reward our loyal customers with some complimentary rides, as well as welcome some new faces,” announced Jo Blundell, director of sales and marketing at Grosvenor Casinos.
“If you see the Grosvenor Casinos taxi please hail it down or you can tweet your journey request – it is truly a unique experience.”
Part of the aim of the taxi casino is to promote the sports betting offering available via Grosvenors and the first ride available included former English cricketer, Phil Tufnell. Grosvenor’s sportsbook is operated by Kambi Sports Solutions with whom they partnered earlier this year to create the product.
