Sky Racing World Reports a Successful Year of Operations
Sky Racing World, a subsidiary of Australian gaming giant, Tabcorp, has released a record set of financial results for the full year ending June 30, 2016. The Australian horse racing content distributor is based in Kentucky and provides content to the North American gaming market.
The company focuses on thoroughbred and harness horse racing content from Australasian and New Zealand races; however in the last year it has grown to cover races from Argentina and South Africa as well. Its financial results for the period ending June 30, 2016 indicated turnover of $215 million, a 13 percent jump from the previous financial year.
The company experienced particular growth in its core racing offering in Australia, with more than 7,800 meetings included across Australia, with the Sydney Racing Carnival generating $1.4 million on the second day of the event.
Its New Zealand offering also experience significant growth in turnover with a 42 percent increase compared to the previous financial year. During the last 12 months, the new daily racing coverage from South Africa also showed significant growth, peaking with the Durban July event, and contributed to the overall rise in turnover for the company.
