Sky Racing World Extends TVG Partnership
Sky Racing World, Australian gaming giant Tabcorp’s racing broadcasting subsidiary, has extended its partnership with Paddy Power Betfair-owned TVG.com.
Currently, Sky Racing World provides Australian horse racing content for simulcast wagering to the US-facing broadcaster and betting operator. Under the extended deal, Sky Racing World will also provide full-card coverage of top-tier Australian horse racing events run on the key regional race nights Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
“We are always trying to bring the best, most competitive racing in the world to our viewers and ADW [advance-deposit wagering] customers and as part of that, we are very pleased to expand our partnership with Sky Racing World and Australian racing,” commented Kip Levin, chief executive of TVG.
Coverage will include races from venues such as Randwick, Flemington and Rosehill with upcoming events to include the G1 George Ryder Stakes and the Golden Slipper on March 17 at Rosehill Gardens, The Championships on March 31 at Royal Randwick Racecourse and the G1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
Through the TVG coverage, three Australian race meetings will feature each night and will focus on the feature race of each evening. This coverage will be complemented by betting promotions via TVG.com. TVG International Racing Coordinator, Candice Hare, will present the in-depth analyses each night and provide handicapping and tips complementing the Sky Racing announcers in Australia.
“As a major ADW partner, TVG has been key to growing our flagship Australian racing product in North America, so we’re excited to expand our partnership with their new Australian racing TV coverage,” stated David Haslett, president and chief executive of Sky Racing World. “We look forward to the new broadcasts raising North American interest in Australian racing during the current Sydney Autumn Carnival, featuring The Championships, and beyond.”
