RMG Launches New Feature for Horse Racing Punters
Racecourse Media Group (RMG), the parent company of a range of major UK racetracks, has partnered with UK-based gambling company, Bet365, to launch a new feature for horse racing bettors. Going to Post is a new video feature that allows bettors to view their horses via live video streaming before they place their bets online.
Going to Post will be available before every race run on one of the 34 tracks that is owned by RMG, including major venues such as Aintree, Ascot, Cheltenham, Epsom, Goodwood, Newbury, Newmarket and York. Customers will be able to watch the horses from six minutes before the race begins and the feature may include videos of the horses parading, going down and at the start and will also include audio insight by a racecourse commentator.
One minute before the race is due to begin, customers will be able to place a bet, giving them the opportunity to watch the race in full. Customers who have already placed bets will continue on automatically with the live feed through to the end of the race.
The service will go live via the online and mobile platforms of Bet365 and will be available to all customers with a minimum fund in their accounts.
“We are delighted to roll out his new streaming innovation which offers access to exclusive TV pictures prior to the off,” announced Nick Mills, commercial director at RMG.
“This will hopefully aid the decision-making process when it comes to staking a bet. The early signs have been very encouraging, with many Bet365 users choosing to use the service.”
“The facility is available to all RMG bookmaker partners taking the Bet to View service and is also supported by the introduction of Mobile Archive.”
