Playtech to Replace IGT as Win2Day Poker Provider
Isle of Man-based software provider, Playtech, has signed a supply deal with Austrian Lotteries and Casinos Austria to become the software provider for their Win2Day.at online poker network. Playtech will be replacing International Game Technology (IGT – formerly GTECH) to provide a desktop and mobile solution.
The three year deal will allow Playtech to provide their solution for the only regulated poker network in Austria. The deal will include ongoing software and technical support throughout the agreed period. The new platform is due to go live in March 2016.
“Working in regulated and newly regulating markets with the largest and leading operators is one of Playtech’s core strengths,” said Joerg Nottebaum, head of iPoker at Playtech.
“We’re delighted to have agreed terms with Win2Day and look forward to developing not only the country’s first, but also best-performing poker network and products.”
In the past year, Playtech has upgraded their iPoker product to improve the gaming experience they can offer their customers in an effort to counter its recent declining performance. This includes a new lobby and home tab, improved game views with personalised access to games and revamped tables. There is a quick seat option and the personalisation features allow the software to remember the games previously played by each player.
The MyPoker tab gives players access not only to their favourite games and the personalised setting options, but also to bonuses, rewards, free tokens and messages. These improved features will be accessible to all Win2Day customers.
