Ladbrokes Signs Sponsorship Deal with The Gold Coast Titans
Under the terms of the deal, the Ladbrokes logo will appear on the lower back and sleeves of Titans players’ jerseys during the 2016 Telstra Premiership with the first game displaying the new jersey being held on Sunday, March 6 against the Newcastle Knights at Cbus Super Stadium.
“The Ladbrokes brand internationally is older than the game of rugby league itself with over 130 years of history behind it,” commented Graham Annesley, chief executive of The Gold Coast Titans. “We are very excited to be joining forces with such a major well-established multi-national brand that shares the Titans’ vision for future growth and success.”
“Sponsorship is incredibly important to our club with the associated revenue helping to ensure we can provide as many resources as possible to [coach] Neil Henry and the players to give them the best possible chance of success,” continued Annesley.
“In return, I have no doubt the Titans’ association will assist Ladbrokes in raising the profile of their brand in Australia and increase market share.”
Ladbrokes has had an Australian business since 2013 and has been expanding their service since then. In 2015, the company acquired online bookie Bookmaker.com.au for AU$22.5 million and just last week Ladbrokes Australia rolled out their new Odds Boost feature.
Simon Jarvis, Ladbrokes Australia’s chief market officer expressed the company’s satisfaction with the deal, saying: “The Gold Coast region is important to our ambitions as we continue to evolve and grow our brand and reach new customers. We’re very optimistic that our brand association will yield mutually.”
