Halfbrick Studios and Gamblit Gaming to Launch Jetpack Joyride to Casinos
Australian video games developer, Halfbrick Studios, together with California-based gambling company, Gamblit Gaming, will launch the popular Jetpack Joyride game for casinos.
Jetpack Joyride is a popular game which has been downloaded more than 350 million times and has 14 million active monthly users. Through this deal, the two companies will create a skill-based real money casino version of the game.
“We have great respect for Halfbrick Studios so we are thrilled to be partnering with one of the world’s greatest game developers to bring one of their most beloved games to casinos,” announced Darion Lowenstein, chief marketing officer for Gamblit Gaming.
“I’ve been playing Jetpack Joyride for years and adding real money wagering makes dodging missiles while wearing bullet-powered jetpacks even more fun and exciting by raising the stakes.”
Gamblit Gaming works with game developers to publish their games for new markets while specialising in real money gambling and skill games for land-based and mobile casinos. The company has signed a number of deals in recent months to take games to casinos.
Gamblit Gaming offers a full solution, including technology, operation, compliance issues, gambling licenses and regulation, gambling expertise, account management and security. The company helps operators to attract new customers and retain existing customers, while creating new revenue streams through real money mobile and land-based casinos.
“We were really impressed with Gamblit’s vision for a real money, physical casino game for Jetpack Joyride,” commented Sam White, vice president of entertainment and licensing at Halfbrick Studios. “The Skill-based casino category is an exciting new space and we are confident Gamblit will do the best job possible in taking the thrill of Jetpack Joyride to even more players in a very unique way.”
