GVC Holdings Appoints Former Playtech VP as CPO
Online gambling company, GVC Holdings PLC, has appointed Liron Snir, the former Vice President of Product and Strategy at Playtech as their Chief Product Officer. Snir will take on the newly created role of the company which operates in both the B2B and B2C markets, as they continue to expand their executive team.
Snir comes to GVC Holdings with significant experience. He worked at Playtech from 2009 to 2016, acting at VP of product and strategy from 2014 and focusing on customer portfolio and growth. Prior to that, he worked at 888 as a team leader in its business intelligence unit, working on platform and database development.
At GVC, Snir will be responsible for improving user experience and overseeing product management. This is a new position in the company, having been established after the February 1, 2016 acquisition of bwin.party digital entertainment.
“The company is delighted to welcome Liron, one of the leading professionals in the industry,” announced Kenny Alexander, chief executive of GVC. “Liron’s considerable expertise in online gaming, product development, product integration and platform assimilation will be an invaluable asset in ensuring growth follows the successful integration of GVC’s and bwin.party’s products, brands and operations.”
GVC has been building its executive team with a number of recent appointments into newly created roles. These include Nick Batram, formerly an analyst from Peel Hunt as head of investor relations and corporate strategy and Shay Segev, former COO of Playtech as chief operating officer.
“This appointment reflects our commitment to delivering best of breed products and services to our growing client base,” said Alexander. “It is testament to the merits of the GVC and bwin.party merger that the enlarged company can attract and retain such talent and we continue to seek further key appointments.”
