Aussie Millions Sets Dates for 2017 Event
The Aussie Millions, part of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), has announced its dates for the 2017 event. In the midst of the excitement of the 2016 event, the dates for next year have been released, making sure that those who missed out now or who would like to come back to win more next year, will have the dates down.
The championship will begin on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 and will run for twenty consecutive days. The Main Event will run over eight days from Sunday, January 22 to Sunday, January 29, 2017. The games will be played in the Crown Poker Room in the Melbourne Crown Casino, Australia.
There will be three starting flights for the Main Event due to the large number of contestants who are expected. These will begin on Sunday, January 22, Monday, January 23 and Tuesday, January 24. Thousands of players are expected to attend and there are 100 poker tables to be set up across the complex to accommodate all the players.
“The 2017 Aussie Millions will again be the biggest and best to date, as effectively one of the top poker majors and a favourite amongst some of the most renowned players in the world,” commented Joel Williams, Director of the Aussie Millions Tournament. “The stage has never been brighter and the team are all hard at work to make the next event the biggest and best yet.”
The full range of events for 2017 have not yet been finalised, but there will be the 20+ official gold ring events, satellite events and cash games with a wide range of poker variations available at entry level and championship level. There will be many levels of buy-ins throughout the championship. The full event schedule is expected to become available soon.
