Aristocrat Leisure Begins Search for New Head of Digital
Australian pokies machine and gambling technology provider, Aristocrat Leisure, has confirmed their search for a new chief digital officer after Patrick Ramsey announced he will be stepping down from the post.
Ramsey joined Aristocrat in January 2016 as chief digital officer which put him in charge of the company’s digital development and client delivery.
While stepping down as chief digital officer, Ramsey will take up the position of a non-executive advisor on the company’s board. Aristocrat plans to execute these changes by October 1, subject to regulatory approval.
“With Pat’s decision to transition to a non-executive career in order to spend more time with his family, we are delighted to be retaining his skills and perspectives within the business, as a member of our board,” stated Ian Blackburne, chairman of Aristocrat. “Pat’s intimate knowledge of Aristocrat’s operating environment, his understanding of digital gaming and his deep expertise in our largest market of North America – including his successful tenure as the CEO of a North American gaming business – will further strengthen the board’s capabilities.”
Aristocrat announced in May that both revenue and profit in its digital sector more than doubled in the financial period ending March 31, 2016.
“I am proud of the growth we have delivered to date in the digital business and I am equally excited about our strategy and the potential we have yet to unlock,” said Ramsey.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to be part of Aristocrat as a board member going forward.”
Aristocrat has informed their corporate stakeholders that executive search firms have been approached with regards to finding a replacement for Ramsey. The company has made it clear that they would consider both internal and external candidates to take up the role.
